Grew up in constant fear of dying for being different. Had to keep "closeted" to keep from friends judging him. Watched his lusus die. Forced responsibility for his friends upon himself and constantly guilted himself for their failures. Has seen multiple versions of himself and his friends dead from dream bubbles.
Vriska:
Went against her morals for most of her life at the pressure of her lusus and pressure to live up to ancestor. Had to kill her lusus. Only broke when killing a close friend. Spent afterlife trying to do something to redeem herself.
Tavros:
Spent his life trying to be as courageous as his friends. Constantly looked down upon by someone he looked up to and had feelings for. Accidentally killed his lusus. The first important time he stood up for himself he was killed. Spent afterlife trying to prove himself to vriska.

Have watched lusus and at least one friend or loved one die
