HELLO TROLL COSPLAYERS! Im now in the posession of all three leading kinds of grey makeup and i wanted to show everyone the different outcomes before you buy somthing that might not work how you want it too.
BEN NYE GREY/WHITE MIXED POTS: its a cream makeup so setting it is difficult and it rubs off even after being set with ben nye spray.
Wolfe Cosmetics Gray/White: the grey is MUCH. TOO. DARK. similar to pencil lead in color. Youd better buy white if you want to mix them because Wolfe is known for not playing nice with OTHER BRANDS of makeup. Ben Nye spicificly formulated thier setting spray NOT TO WORK with wolfe products. the grey will become dry and turn bright pink if mixed with ben nye setting spray. the one up side to Wolfe is that it sets itself once dry. im currently scratching my arm covered in Wolfe and i swear on my life, not even an ATOM of it has moved or faked off.
Snazaroo Light Grey Makeup: So Snazaroo is popular, and let me tell you why… oh wait… i dont need to. at all. you get it wet, put it on with a foundation brush, let it dry, ben nye / hair spray it a tiny pit, and baby powder it. and boom. its light grey troll skin and it wont go anywhere for quite awhile. i have to admit my doubts about snazaroo because, well, somthing so cheap and clownish just sounds too cheap to be as good as the high-end Wolfe and Ben nye makeups… but… low and behold. my favorite among all others, is Snazaroo.
Hobby-Lobby Body Paints: These are a super cheap and very good immitation of the previously mentioned makeups, and if you can only aford one, i would go with the white. it mixes very well with any other brand of makeup, especially snazaroo if you want a lighter tone and the white can be MIXED WITH BEN NYE SETTING SPRAY INSTEAD OF WATER AND YOU CAN PUT IT ON AND ONCE IT DRIES IT WONT MOVE EVEN IF YOU DRAG YOU ARM AGAINST A TEXTURED WALL. I TRIED IT. MY BOYFRIEND WATCHED ME, ITS TRUE.

correction attention everyone who fucking uses snazaroo do yourself a favor and throw that shit in the trash it is for kids for a fucking reason (i mean unless you like having your make up all over your shit SHRUG) snazaroo IS NOT INTENDED to be worn extensively. and is not intended to cover large areas.
we’ve tried ben nye color pots, snazaroo and a mix of ben nye and snazaroo (plus powder sealer and liquid final seal) but nothing works like kyrolan’s aquacolor. we got a huge pot of it (i think it cost $14) and it will last forever. we got ben nye’s liquiset ($7 i think) to go with it (it is a mixer and sealer) so technically you don’t need to seal this stuff. we bought a kryolan applicator as well (DON’T USE MAKE UP WEDGES) but if you don’t want to buy one of those you can buy those craft sponges at the store for like a dollar. it’s the same thing. you do not need water to apply this, just the liquiset. DO NOT PUT VERY MUCH ON THE SPONGE. you have to get the paint and set to a nice medium to get it to go on nicely. you can blot or smudge.
just wash your face first ok
it literally took me maybe fifteen minutes to put on my make up last night (face/neck/arms) and it went on very nicely. since it is mainly glycerin it did make me sweat a bit but any body paint will do that. i had no trouble with it rubbing off on any thing (unless you are being stupid and pressing against something) and it came off well. it pills up and peels off and doesn’t leave a gross post-paint feeling.
THAT STILL DOESN’T MAKE IT OK TO CLEAN IT ALL OFF IN THE HOTEL SINK (OR YOUR MOM’S SINK) GET SOME MAKE UP WIPES OK.
if you’re thinking this seems expensive well it’s honestly not and is a small price to pay for not being the fuckpod at the con getting their goddamn paint on everything. i rest my case.

I wish I had seen this post a week ago!! Because it would have come out a lot cheaper than my small tin of Ben Nye for $9!!
This is what I have for both my Homestuck troll cosplays and my Flame Princess cosplay. I use it with water instead of the ben nye stuff and I apply it with a brush. Its by far my favorite skin paint and I recommend it 100%, its easy to put on, it smells nice, and it stays. I also will buy the .24 oz size containers of it for eyeliner/lipstick/eyebrows/freckles and whatever else you might need in a color you can’t usually find, especially for Homestucks!

A few more tips I forgot to mention above: Clean of any extra glue with a clean q-tip, and avoid getting the glue on the front of the tooth. - If the edges of the teeth don’t match up, wait until the glue is dry, and you can file down the tops of the teeth a bit until it’s a closer match. - When removing the retainer pull down carefully, and use both hands. - You can drink with these in, but I recommend -only- cold water. Don’t try to eat with them in. - Pointy teeth are sharp! Be careful, you probably will cut yourself.

My friends and I occasionally have this problem so I’ve taught them this simple method that takes less than a minute as opposed to waiting several for your computer to restart(especially if it’s slow).
What’s great about this method is that sometimes restarting your computer wont fix the problem, but this usually will.
MAKE SURE YOU CLOSE ALL YOUR ART APPS.
This is important, otherwise the changes wont take effect. If it doesn’t work the first time, try again, sometimes it takes restarting it more than once.
For Windows 8, search for “services.msc” in your apps and click on the result. Continue from there!
Alright, babies. I’ve never heard of this anime before today, and judging by the trailer’s views, neither have a lot of anime lovers. Reasons why everyone should watch it right now:
The main protagonists are a fine as hell lady of color and her mixed daughter
The main antagonist is a super fabulous woman of color, in an actual position of power, who rocks natural hair like a boss
Michiko, the main character, is canonically bi and not a single fuck is given
The art is fucking perfect
There is an actual coherent and complex plot
All the main characters have a billion different costumes and they are all super cosplay worthy
There are two full seasons, both of which are already out~
