No but really, Germany has done a fantastic job with remembering and moving on from the holocaust. Sure they can’t ever make things right, but they are great at making sure no German ever forgets what happened in their country. They really do deserve some credit. I honestly can’t think of any other country that has acknowledged the stain of genocide in their history so well. I mean America pretty much denies that slavery and manifest destiny was genocide, and then Turkey calls the Armenian genocide a war, and Cambodia has members of the Khmer Rouge in their current government. So let’s give a hand to Germany.
