Let’s get momswappy! First up, Peridot! In just about every take I’ve seen, she still has her robot parts despite that she wouldn’t be a modern gem in the context of the general AU, which is fine, but I decided I’d like to go a different route.
Despite not being built for fighting, Peridot is fairly nimble and augments her form with inline skates when she really needs to get moving. (In all actuality, I just wanted to give her a Jet Set Radio vibe haha) She also enjoys playing video games with Steven on occasion.

The bagh naka (Marathi: वाघनख / वाघनख्या, Hindi: बाघ नख, Urdu: باگھ نکھ) is a claw-like weapon from India designed to fit over the knuckles or be concealed under and against the palm. It consists of four or five curved blades affixed to a crossbar or glove, and is designed to slash through skin and muscle. It is believed to have been inspired by the armature of big cats, and the term bagh naka itself means tiger’s claw in Hindi.

So it turns out you can be dyslexic in one language but not another, depending on the kind of linguistic processing problem you have. For example, if you have trouble with phonemes, if can be hard to learn alphabetic writing systems like English, but easier to learn logographic writing systems like Chinese. China has dyslexic people obvs, but they seem to have different stuff going on in their brain than English dyslexic people. Huh.

This symbolizes earth’s rich red color and the blood that symbolizes life, and is consistent with the Himba ideal of beauty.

This is the RGB Colorspace Atlas by Tauba Auerbach. The 8”x8” hardcover tome is pretty much an encyclopedia of every color in the RGB index. It’s huge, it’s gorgeous, and I want one.
