weird plotbunny where john is a long-dead ghost that rose, through her studies into the occult, successfully made contact with and ‘tethered’ to her.

it turns out to be a favourable situation for both of them as it soothes john’s restless spirit to have a grounding in the living world and it gives rose someone to talk to who is all about her interests- literally.

it could be romantic or not- i ship pale grimdorks religiously but anything goes :p
