“Nearly 7 weeks after Michael Brown shooting, Ferguson police chief apologizes to family through PR video.”
Too little to late, Chief Jackson. We don’t want your apology— we want your resignation! Prayers and peace, as always, to the family of Mike Brown, however. I’m sure these empty words from the folks who took your child’s life aren’t much of a balm, but know that there are so many people out there with genuine empathy and sorrow for your loss. #staywoke #farfromover
HAPPENING NOW (9.26.14): And in an instance, mayhem. The police attacked protesters without warning or clear provocation, mind you, WHILE the police chief was out chatting/marching with them. More to come tonight. Stay woke. #farfromover (PT I)
CultureHISTORY: #Ferguson - 2014
No justice, no peace.

Four White guys with multiple weapons were taken into custody. Not shot and kill and left out on the road. They were arrested and given due process. They’re names aren’t leaked. We’re not seeing invasions into their facebooks for impeding trials. We’re not even seeing mug shots. We don’t know if they’re anarchist, klan or anything at all. We just know they left the scene of an armed chase alive.
However an UNARMED black kid walking the streets of his neighborhood was shot 6 times by the police.
This is the difference, the racism and the outrage.
Post racial America my ass. #ferguson #racism
Egregious example of white supremacy:
Police officers chase down and apprehend four white dudes with multiple weapons, no one is hurt.
A disabled black man with a knife is shot down from 10 or more feet away because cops felt “threatened.”

Protesters from across St Louis turned up and turned out for the first St Louis County Council Meeting since Mike Brown’s Death. (Part II)
The St Louis County Council meeting was a fiery afar, as residents from across the county demanded Darren Wilson’s arrest, answers for Mike Brown’s death, and expressed frustration at their own police force being turned on them like they were enemies of the state. #staywoke #farfromover
So… There’s protesters wanting to go to the county meeting today- and police are bagging meters to stop people from parking in front of the meeting hall.
They’re trying to make it so people can’t come to a meeting they are ALLOWED TO ATTEND.
in regards to this postbut that’s my whole point. if we let this thing die out, we won’t be able to tell it how it happened, because it won’t be told. i’m trying to do something about it by speaking on a more public and open platform like social media because it’s the best way i can get my foot in the door: i can say something.
i’m angry about this starting to die out because it’s something that got people riled up. i get that this happens tragically often, but if this loses the eye of the media and the public in general then who knows how long we might have to wait until something picks up steam again. i want to make sure we don’t lose sight of what’s keeping us fighting for what’s right for one goddamn second, and the easiest way for me to do that, as an individual in my circumstances is to get my voice heard.
Will Darren Wilson ever be arrested?
All photos less than 24 hours ago.
The fight in StLouis continues.

We didn’t know that our activism and our peaceful displays would result in guns literally looking down our eyes. Literally looking down our eyes. Guns.
And I had young people who were willing to die. For justice.
I had a young person — and he’s definitely the example of many young people that I represent who said “I didn’t think I would make it to twenty-one years old so I’m ready to die now. Let’s do it now.”
State senator Maria Chappelle-Nadal (@MariaChappelleN) speaks on the Senate floor about the events she witnessed in Ferguson, Missouri in the weeks following the execution of Mike Brown. Senator Chappelle-Nadal was one of many protesters tear gassed for three hours without reprieve by the Ferguson PD.
She has been consistent and unrelenting in her criticism of Governor Jay Nixon — to the point of tweeting him “FUCK you, Governor!” — for his lack of action over the violation of citizens’ constitutional right to peacefully protest, and passionately vocal about the violent ways in which protesters were abused by the police.
Full video of Senator Chappelle-Nadal’s speech is available for download here (.wmv format).
On the one-month anniversary of Michael Brown’s death, his family gathered at the Ferguson Police Department to again demand justice for his murder. Where is Darren Wilson, and why has he still not been arrested? #farfromover #staywoke
