i think some people on this website are forgetting that there is actually not that much visibility for trans* people and that sometimes when someone makes a comment that can be see and transphobic or excluding trans* people, it’s not because they’re actively and maliciously transphobic, but because they literally didn’t think of it because they are ignorant.

transphobia     i only had bare knowledge of the issue before i joined tumblr because no one around me was out or open about it     and i've probably made comments that i now see as ignorant     but never was i malicious in my intent
