Sock is a genie with an unusual fatality rate amongst his masters– he always seems to find a way to misinterpret even the most well-worded wishes, and the misinterpretation always seems to end in blood. That's undoubtedly what's going to happen this time, too– only Jonathan isn't making any wishes.
