SOME THINGS THAT SOME PEOPLE NEED TO STOP BEING WRONG ABOUT

So hey guys it’s me again.

I would just like you to know a few things while I keep writing;

  • Brobot quote-on-quote “molesting” Jake while on novice mode is provably false. The word “tender” has a lot of meanings and I don’t think I need to state that Jake has archaic wordplay. “Robogrope” was a word used by Hal to bully Jake and make him uncomfortable and that’s the only clear connection to unwanted touching that we see. Also Prince of Heart: Rise Up had a fight with Brobot on novice mode the whole time. No molesting happening there. Anyone who tries to tell you otherwise is provably wrong and you only need to point them to one flash to tell you that!
  •  Jake does stand up to Dirk/Hal/Brain Ghost Dirk. Like a lot. It’s in every single log that he has any conversation with them in where he’ll argue back or tell them to hush, with the exception of the Derse cell scene where he’s hurt and drawing upon BGD for comfort.
  • Jake isn’t scared of Brobot, he has two conversations, one with Roxy and one with Jane, while Brobot is standing around in the background. He speaks perfectly calmly and dismisses Brobot’s presence completely.
  • All the Beta kids sparred with their guardians to prepare them for the game and Dad and Mom both stalked their kids around the house.
  • Dirk is incredibly empathic and has been seen cheering or reassuring every Alpha kid at least twice. Even with Jake and Roxy with whom he has like one log with. Each.
  • No, Dirk never said he owed it to Jake to leave Hal running. He owed it to Hal to leave Hal running because Dirk was attempting to give Hal room to grow. He is treating Hal like the autonomous being. Also he temporarily disabled Hal after Hal’s first log with Jake, so it’s not like he totally WON’T disable Hal under any circumstances.
  • Dirk is not his splinters and their actions do not reflect his character.

  • I’m dead serious guys I am so tired of seeing this. If Hal does some skeevy bullshit, that’s on HAL, not Dirk.
  • Dirk even realized how wrong he was to let Hal in on the Jake thing and berates him at length for his actions.
  • Hal and Dirk are not the same person.
  • Stop saying they are, or that they’re “so similar that if Hal does something that must mean Dirk is willing to do it too”.
  • Stop.
  • Please go back and read canon sometime and evaluate all these meta posts critically. Yes, even this one.
  • Hal is the one who gets pushy/forceful with people.
  • Seriously, please show me one example of Dirk himself being pushy/forceful with someone.
  • Hal =/= Dirk, learn 2 distinguish.
  • If someone tries to tell you that you can construe facts about Dirk’s personality based on Hal, they are wrong.
  • Seriously go read canon and actually COMPARE Dirk and Hal.
  • Go back and read canon in general actually.
