people misunderstanding that “your first time isn’t supposed to hurt” post the same way they misunderstand those “don’t trust dudes who tell you they’re too big for condoms” posts
it’s not that no one’s too big for (normal) condoms, it’s that people who tell you that so you’ll agree to condomless sex are either a) lying or b) dopes who should have brought their own large condoms if it’s such a problem
it’s not that it’s never okay for your first time to hurt, it’s that the idea that pain and blood are natural and inevitable during your first time allows people to get away with not putting in the effort to make sure you’re thoroughly aroused and comfortable, because hey you’re not supposed to be comfortable right?
“some guys are too big for condoms” and “your first time is supposed to hurt” are both cultural memes that have some kernel of truth to them but that in practice become excuses for not treating you right, and it’s good to be able to see through them.
