Also where was the dudes’ rage when like ‘[SOME LADY] IS A WHORE’/ or ‘[SOME DUDE] IS A [HOMOPHOBIC SLUR]’ was written on bathroom stalls? Or is that kind of damaged reputation not the kind of damaged reputation that COUNTS?
You can’t prosecute someone based on bathroom graffiti, but you can protect others. Legally, the assaulters will face no ramifications based on the graffiti. Social ramifications, sure. But their lives won’t be ruined.
Whereas, if someone gets sexually assaulted…
