Yeah, lets protest the government actually doing something to help us for once!

Australia is not in a recession.

Big business currently doesn’t need financial assistance to stay afloat.

More people will lose their jobs as a direct result of companies now being able to find workers for cheaper on the NewStart program. People on the program who want off it will find it more difficult to do so because employers will be able to cut labor costs by sourcing from NewStart.

More people will need financial aid

Less people will be able to afford to support themselves when the additional expenses come in.

Less people will be able to luxury spend - one of the key influences in the health of the Australian economy.

Australia will go into recession.

Abbott has no fucking clue what he is doing.

I would like to additionally point out that not only do we have a smaller poor-rich gap than a majority of the world (in that our distribution of wealth is better than a lot of other countries), we have I think it was the second or third lowest deficit in the world.

Abbott is making hype of a problem that does not exist. There are aspects of our system that needs improvement, for sure, and there are things that need to be reconsidered as the population and workforce continues to age; but it is not broken like he is insisting it is. He is only making it worse.
