people who act like they can’t control their rp character bother me

i get ‘you know they’d do this, but you don’t have reasoning as to why’ but if you actually believe you cannot control your character i hate to fucking break it to you but

Not to jack your text post but like, this dude came over to my house once for a party (kind of invited himself, bit of a dick) and he saw my dice/char sheets etc. He started explaining “Oh I used to play D n D but they fucking kicked me out.” I was like, “wow that’s mean, why?” and then he explains.

This guy’s playing a half human half orc fighter, k? So he decides, while the group is camping, that his char was so brainfucked that he had to fight like right then and there. So this guy decides his char needs to attack and kill the male party members and rape the female party members.

He roleplayed raping somebody’s char in front of them.

And wonders why they don’t want to play with him anymore.

And he’s sitting there trying to explain to me that he had no choooooice his character was violent and he “had to” which I won’t accept. I told him (paraphrasing) that he can’t just hide behind a character he made up and controls 100% he roleplayed raping somebody because he’s fucked in the fucking head. 

This one time a new girl joined my Rogue Trader group and she was playing a Xenos and my character had a thing where she really hated xenos and would actively try and kill any Xenos she was around which she was fully capable of doing with her crazy psychic powers. 

You know what I did? Metagamed and ignored that and didn’t act like a bitch so our new companion wouldn’t feel alienated and disliked. I changed my char’s attitude to her because I was in total control and could totally do that because it’s ROLEPLAYING. Because that’s what decent empathetic people fucking do. Zero excuse for being a pvping ingame rapist just zero.

It’s also why when I GM I enstate a “No PVP” rule.
