I started my Gender and Society class today at school and my teacher began by passing out slips of paper that had the question "A boy and his father are in a car accident. The father dies, and the boy is brought to the operating room, where one of the doctors on duty says "We have to save him, he's my son." Who's the doctor?" Obviously the answer is the mom, but there were people who actually put down that the father was the doctor even though they were told he just died! Seriously? -_-

I understand the point of the exercise, but it could also have been a gay couple, so I wouldn’t say it’s obvious.
