School uniforms are something that a lot of people associate with Japanese school life, and Japan in general. Appearing in anime, manga, movies, and no doubt a lot of porn, the Japanese school uniform, in particular the girls’ sailor style outfit, is famous worldwide.
The high school that I teach at is actually pretty unusual for Japan in that it doesn’t mandate a school uniform. But I was surprised to notice, when I first started working there, that some of the female students opt to wear a uniform anyway…
