seeing a lot of powerpoints defending/accusing the lack of racial diversity in frozen lately.

having not been to denmark i cant say whether the lack of diversity in frozen etc etcetc is correct or not

but its not crazy to consider that all the main characters in a story are white- its not statistically improbable.

but thats not the problem,

the problem isnt ‘frozen has an all-white cast and that’s not probable, it’s white-washing!’ and i think people are getting distracted with this and not the actual reason to be upset

its 'yet another all-white story to go with the many disney has made already, instead of another story showing some other race or culture. there could have been, but there wasn’t, and that’s disappointing.’

frozen itself is fine. it would have been fine as it was, unchanged, if there was more diversity in what films disney puts out.

frozen isn’t the problem (though there could have been someone not hella white in there, and that would have been welcomed considering the- ahem, not-so-wide range of stories and characters we have at the moment)

it’s just that it was released when a lot of people needed something else.
