GUYS OKAY PLEASE READ THIS! 

I am literally shaking, I am so angry, but good fucking LORD is this important. I’m not putting this under a readmore because this could really be critical, that way this creep doesn’t get to any other girls. 

So earlier I got a message (below) from godtiermoemura that, admittedly, seemed kind of creepy on first read, but I brushed it off. 

Unfortunately, I didn’t get screencaps of his message/my reply while it was in my inbox, as I didn’t think it would end up like this, but my reply was something along the lines of “I don’t think I’m comfortable talking to a stranger on skype about something you could just as easily talk about on tumblr.”

(Anyway, something nicer than that, I hope, but you can read the below and get context clues.)

After this, I was really starting to get creeper vibes, but I replied with “Idk, I’d just prefer not to Skype with someone I don’t really know, and an adult stranger, at that- and really, it can’t be that much different, haha? Really, if you want to talk about anime you can just shoot me a message any time, if it comes across weird I totally understand!”

(Courtesy of my friend Gloria who is an absolute star- I was livechatting all this on facebook and sent her all the messages + replies, so while I don’t have screencaps of my replies, she basically saw the whole thing unfold.)

He then replied with this:

I sent “Eh, to be honest, I’d just be more comfortable talking on tumblr- I usually save skype for good friends and I’d really prefer that this not turn into some kind of 20 questions to try to become familiar with each other.”

You can probably tell that at that point, I was majorly creeped out because, again, this was a 25 year old man pressuring a 16 year old girl to add him on skype to talk about “anime.” (bolded because that isn’t just conjecture: it is an actual literal fact that he was pressuring me to talk to him on Skype, and to reply to him privately.) 

He replied with:

and I sent:

“Oh nah I totally understand haha, it’s kind of a stilted method of communication, but I’d really rather not move to skype right off the bat when it comes to someone I’ve never met before (and am not likely to meet, haha). You seem nice enough, but personally, I’m really not comfortable taking things quickly when it comes to people I’ve met on tumblr, even if it is just talking on skype”

Anyway, I was really skeeved out but I thought that I could just brush this off, yet after checking the “godtiermoemura” tag (something that I reccommend anyone who gets a message like the first one does), I found some serious shit. 

Next follows links and screencaps, but here’s the gist:

• Even if you don’t think this guy is terrex88, it’s a fact that he sends multiple young girls the same message (“Would you be up to talking about anime on Skype cause I don’t really feel comfortable talking here. (Can you answer privately please?)”) 
• I don’t know personally what happens if you add him on skype, but some lovely people on tumblr have compiled a list of shit and links that have happened because of him.
• This guy has gone by multiple urls (godtiermoemura, terrex88, teriyakioctopus) and he always seems to start with the same message. Also, as far as I’m aware, he’s targeting young girls who are active in the Madoka Magica fandom (I’m guessing that’s how he found me? I’ve recently been posting a bunch of scans and pixiv art, and that’s really the only way I’ve been publicly active.)
• If you get a message that makes you uncomfortable? DO NOT ADD HIM. Do not go along with this. It’s more important that you stay safe online than that you not offend one person who is harassing you and asking for personal information. 
• Really, that’s not just for Terry/godtiermoemura. If someone gives you bad vibes, chances are that’s for a good reason!! You’re not obligated to be friends with him. 

He hasn’t replied after that and I sincerely hope he doesn’t, but don’t be afraid to block him if you get a message similar to this. Believe it or not, there are adult predators on this site who go after young girls, so you really need to make sure you don’t do anything you’re not comfortable with. 

If you get him messaging you and harassing you for your skype, block him. Block him, report him, make it clear that this shit is not okay. This goes doubly for young women active in anime fandoms, because it’s of the utmost importance that he doesn’t prey on other girls!! Luckily I dodged a bullet and turned him down, but please, do not give him your personal information. I don’t care if you give your skype out to all and sundry, if there is someone in your inbox demanding that you only respond privately and that you give him your skype, don’t do it. This is so crucial, and I’m really sorry for rambling, but I don’t want anyone else to fall for this!!

I’ve reported him and I’m waiting for the reply, but in the meantime this is so important. Please spread this like wildfire so no one else ends up getting harassed. I really don’t want to start drama but I will if I have to.

I can’t believe he’s still doing this shit and tumblr hasn’t kicked him off yet, honestly. I was harassed by this guy a few months ago, he is a total weirdo and got mad at me for not replying while i was OFFLINE. he also then got increasingly furious at me, by saying i wasn’t making a good attempt to be his friend, then sent me aggressive and abusive anon messages spamming my inbox. so many girls have had to deal with his dumb shit. he needs to fuck off and get a life.

uhh i don’t have the messages anymore but yes i got that same message—long story short i told him i’d add him on skype because hey, i like friends! but i was busy with school and stuff or something, idr specifically, and between that and my anxiety i didn’t add him for a while, and i explained to him that i had hella fucking anxiety, and he got progressively more and more angry at me for not adding him. i came back from school one day to have 5+ messages from him demanding i go online and add him all sent within the span of ~30 minutes? i asked him to stop, told him it was aggravating my anxiety and i would not be adding him any faster if he continued because it just made it worse, and…clearly that didn’t happen. i asked him not to contact me and he sent me a “FUCK YOU!!!!!” and that was that

(context: i am a 17-year-old girl and 99% sure he found me through madoka; i peeked through is blog when he sent me the message and one of my madoka posts had been recently reblogged)
