I want everyone to be crystal clear on why the shutdown is happening: people in congress do not want the rest of the country to have access to government healthcare, so they refused to pass a new budget for this fiscal year.

I also want everyone to understand this about congress: every single person elected to both the house and senate has excellent, free, government provided healthcare.

Also they’re getting paid while millions of people are not.
