You sir, are a fucking douche. Did anyone say they weren’t respecting the boy? Did anyone make a joke about the tombstone being useless, or too big, or anything stupid like that? No. If you want to calculate it, probably like 70% of angel statues in North America and Europe are grave markers. Are we going to get mad at Stephen Moffat for making the weeping angels in the first place? Are we going to get mad at every single weeping angel joke ever made? or just 70% of them? I want to find out jimbo fucking nerdtron’s rules on how to be a complete asshat and trying to ruin people’s good times. You know who is going to give a shit about the comment you just made Jimbo? Wow okay, step back Whovians. This is just plain disrespectful. How would you like it if someone turned your little sister/brother/distant relative’s gravestone into a stupid fandom joke? The kid that committed suicide was someone’s sister/brother/distant relative. And needless to say, they were someone. They were an actual person who actually died. They actually took their own life. If that can’t be taken seriously then I don’t know what to say to you. Besides, it’s an incredibly crafted, and tragic, piece of art. Yet all we have to say about it is “Go home Weeping Angel. You’re drunk.” Pathetic.

I have commented on pretty much this same post before (with a different gravestone) but I’ll do it again, because everyone needs to take a step back and think calmly here. Yes, OP was a bit rude, however, they have a very good point. Everyone is entitled to reference whatever they want, however the weeping angel joke is old, overused, and sometimes insensitive. If someone asks you not to joke about something dear to them, don’t do it, simply as that. Go find some other picture to add your whovian touch too, but please, have some sensitivity. This applies to all fandoms and all references, not just weeping angels and Doctor Who.
