My Girlfriend wanted to save a fish yesterday: so we bought a fish from our local department store, gave him the name George, and we drove to a local lake and set him free.. It’s safe to say he swam off with glee. But For me and my girlfriend? we already miss that little guy and only wish the best for him.

Are you stupid? That poor fish is 95% certainly already dead because of the shock of being in a cold lake with a ton of predators. Bettas are domesticated, tropical fish that need warm water and safe habitats with fish that aren’t trying to eat them. 

On another unrelated note, I’m pretty sure it’s illegal to release non-native fish in lakes in most states. So good job on that as well. =/ What amazing fish saviors you are. Next time you want to do good for a fish, don’t. You clearly don’t know the first thing about them.
