The next time Keith wakes up Shiro is sitting beside his bed. He hasn’t noticed Keith’s awake yet.
Keith smiles. Shiro looks good in uniform, his new rank suits him.
“Hey, Captain.”
His voice comes out low and raspier than he intended and Shiro starts, almost falling out of his chair.
“K-Keith, you’re awake.”
It’s probably the head injury talking but Keith can almost swear Shiro is blushing.
