It’s similar to the day after 9/11

There weren’t that many kids going to school this morning.
Some businesses havent opened & the whole mood out here is just somber for lack of a better word

I heard my neighbors sobbing all night … just so sad

My neighbor isnt wearing her hijab for the first time since I’ve known her.
I saw one of my neighbors on their way to work in a fucking button-down & khakis & that’s not how they dress EVER. 
People are scared to be themselves, they’re petrified.
This shit is so fucked up. 

My gay co-workers and I made a pack today that if our job tries to fire us, police question us, or any sort of gang tries to come into the place again like on election night, we’ll be each other’s beards. 

My mom removed the gay pride flag from our porch after we got a rock in the window last night with ‘faggot’ sharpied on it.

Someone fired shots in my neighborhood screaming that if Trump can do it, so can they.

One of my Muslim co-workers is missing. Three of my college friends who were from Costa Rica didn’t show up for class. No word from them either.

It’s barely been 24 hours. God help us in 4 years.
