g**psy is a slur. it’s a slur. it’s a slur, and on top of that it’s consistently attached to incredibly negative, straight up racist depictions of romani people. like, how is it 2016 and you’re still writing/drawing romani people exclusively as fortune tellers, pickpockets, witches, etc.? you’re doing tangible harm.

The person I reblogged this from added that and I think that’s important too. That particular word (synonymous with “cheated” or “shortchanged” for those who can’t tell what it is) is not only based on a slur, the very REASON it’s based on that slur is because of the racist assumptions that the Roma people are thieves. So like. Stop saying that thing, folks.
