did no one ever really look at saren. Like actually look at him. They acted like he looked normal. this is one of the funniest things in the game. apparently they had a “normal” skin for saren they were going to use for all these scenes, but they either screwed it up or ran out of time and applied the endgame skin right from the start. so we get robo-saren from day one and a weird moment late in the game where we’re meant to be like WHAT HAVE YOU DONE SAREN only he looks just as ridiculous as he did through the entire game. amazing.
