I have lots of posts about this if you scroll down, and I’m sure you’ve researched on your own by now (since I went to sleep before this ask came) but I’ll break down what I know:
Some people sent Lauren shit about lapidot on her twitter. This was about a week ago? And then, yesterday, she wrote some sassy tweets about piracying and leaked early episodes of Steven Universe, which she then said she was just joking about. People gave her lots of shit for that too. So in the end, she just couldn’t stand that people were so mean to her over a freakin cartoon, where she’s just doing her job, and so she deleted.
This isn’t the first time something like this has happened with Lauren, though. In January or so she made another private twitter, and essentially stopped using her public twitter for several weeks. Later she came back though. So I hope she’ll still be back, but perhaps she should keep it to the same level as Rebecca Sugar with her twitter. I can really understand why RS’s social medias are so sparse with her personal thoughts…
People think that just because they’re behind an anonymous screen name, they can say whatever they think of and there will be no consequences. But people have to remember that you’re talking to actual human beings, who will be hurt and sad if you write mean stuff to them. Don’t be that guy.
