If you’re bisexual and you call yourself gay I’m gonna call you straight because you’re also different sex attracted and that part of your sexuality is just as valid as the gay half :-)

lumping bisexual people with their oppressors is disgusting, equating gender to sex is disgusting, making out like bisexuality is a combination of other sexualities rather than its own sexuality is also disgusting. bisexual people aren’t “half” anything. you sound stupid as hell

omfg this is crazy… op is saying this because bi people who call themselves gay are literally implying that they’re part gay when they aren’t. so if a bi person calls themselves gay then that means that they also view themselves as part straight when they aren’t either since bisexuality is its own sexuality. there’s two sides to the coin. in short, bi people need to stop calling themselves gay because they aren’t gay!

I’m pretty sure op was just showing the reverse of what bi people say (straight) to show how rude it sounds to gay people when bi people call themselves gay, which is not theirs to claim. Bisexuals are turning gay into an umbrella term, and because they are the highest proportion of the community, when people complain they get shouted over and invalidated meaning the the term ‘gay’ is being changed without the permission of actual gay people (as can be seen by all the hate op has received in the notes from bi/pan people). Fortunately, within the rad-fem community there are very few bi women who actually do this, which is awesome, because erasing someone else’s identity to steal a label is a really shitty thing to do. So, thank you to the bisexuals who aren’t trying to claim the word gay, it’s appreciated.
