But I was thinking a lot about Tony Stark earlier today and how bull shit it was for Steve to say he wouldn’t be the one to make a sacrifice play in the first place
Because in the first Iron Man as he’s hanging from the roof he wants anything but obadiah to get away and hurt more people so he tells Pepper to hit the button already. She then exclaims, “you’ll die!” and he shouts back, “Push it!” And if that isn’t a sacrifice play already then I don’t know what is.
Then in Iron Man 2 he is risking his health, literally dying the entire movie, just to keep being Iron Man like the people need so the suits can stay out of the wrong hands.
Then obviously in The Avengers he carried the nuclear bomb through the portal fully prepared to die in there.
Then in Ultron he found a way to lessen the impact knowing it could kill him.
Now, in Civil War no one can really think Tony wants to be fighting these people. His friends. Practically his family that he’s fought so hard to keep safe as well as the citizens this whole time.
He wouldn’t be Tony Stark other way.
