One of my favourite scenarios to imagine Steven and Lapis in is inside Malachite’s Realm like can you imagine Lapis getting used to Steven visiting her through his dreams that they have casual chats while Lapis continues to fight for dominance over the fusion

Steven: “So Peridot is living in my bathroom now”

Lapis, groaning: “oh really? How’d-” *pulls chains up* “that happen?”

Steven: “well, she broke into my room-”

Lapis, sweating: “uh huh”

Steven, playing with the ominous green water: and she kidnapped me and tried to make me fix the Homeworld warp but that didn’t work-“

Lapis: *gets pulled under*

Jasper, breathing heavily and looking beaten: “yOU”

Steven: “hey Jasper”

Jasper, getting pulled under once again: “fUU-”

Lapis, returning once again exhausted and suffering as usual: “a-and then?”

Steven: “oh yeah. Stuff happened, she got poofed, I set her free and now she refuses to let anyone but me into my bathroom”

Lapis, on the verge of losing herself: “I-” *pulls the chains up groaning* “interesting”
