I just wanna let you guys know how incredibly fucking angry I am that Solas is literally trying to destroy the world and everyone in it, yet he gets 10000% less hate than Anders, who blew up one fucking church in order to free thousands of people from a system that regularly raped, tortured, and killed them for the hell of it. What the fuck.

Even worse, Anders did what he did to save people living in that moment. Each day more people were abused. Yet he is considered irredeemable. A monster. Even if Hawke sides with him, even if they approve and love him, the series treats him like shit.
On the other hand?
Solas is going to murder EVERYONE to bring back a world that’s been DEAD for CENTURIES. Yet he’s redeemable. Don’t get me wrong, I love him, I want to stop him and redeem him, I know there’s good in him. But we have that choice. Anders did not. But the point is… Who the fuck is solas saving??? Who the fuck is he helping??? No one but himself. HE can’t bear to see this new world. So he’s destroying it for HIMSELF. If he actually wanted to “help the elves” he’d go to war with tevinter or something to free the slaves.
Anders destroyed the chantry for the other mages. He was ready to be remembered as a monster and die for it. And he was. He was remembered as a monster.

I’m not saying we have to hate Solas, but like OP said this is ridiculous and I’m frankly disturbed at how many solas romancers want to fucking HELP him or condone him or think he’s innocent and “oh but he doesn’t waaaaaannnna but has no chooiceeee” and that he needs to be saved. No. My lavellan? She’s giving him one chance. He fucks that up, he’s done.
