No one has ever made more fanwork in response to someone tearing down their ideas and headcanons. You cannot get the content you want out of fandom by attacking other people’s content. That literally will not get you anything you want, it will only remove content from the fandom and make people less willing to participate. I’m absolutely speaking from experience here.
If you want to see more of something in your fandom, you have to be the one to get it out there. Talk about it, write fic, draw art, meta about it. You need to add to the discourse, not subtract.
Fandom is not a zero sum game, where people can either care about idea A or idea B. Stop treating it like a battle.
