People are constantly changing, growing and learning. We are imperfect and make mistakes, which both help us learn. I wish more people accept this the way you do. This bullying hurts my heart.

It’s ridiculous that these bullies (yes, that’s what they are) are trying their damnedest to dig up artist’s mistakes from YEARS ago just to justify a personal dislike. For example, a user recently added my name to the big shit list of artists going around leading in with, and I quote, “Kylee Henke (SonicRocksMySocks) is an extremely popular artist and therefore I’m sure someone can dig up dirt on her somewhere if you really wanted to.”

So they plastered me up there with accused rapists and pedophiles because they’re sure someone can dig up dirt on me somewhere if they wanted to.

This is sick and dangerous. not only do people fuck up because they’re human and NO ONE IS BORN SOCIALLY AWARE AND INFORMED, but they are capable of change (note that I’m not talking about people who have actually committed crimes such as pedophilia–I’m talking about a large portion of artists having their receipts pulled this week for petty reasons). Digging up shit from the past that’s already over with/changed is so fucking nonsensical I don’t even know what to say. It’s just so grade school. It’s literally something grade school bullies would do.

The only silver lining to this is that the person/people responsible for making these giant callout posts are now having receipts pulled on them, showing that they are hypocrites for expecting artists in the public eye to have a spotless record. Humans fuck up and do shitty things. Barring people who are actually dangerous or have committed crimes, you have no right to endanger their lives and reputations by lumping them in with rapists and pedophiles.

Lots of artists I know are considering leaving this website and honestly, I don’t blame them at this point.
