The puns about Sirius’ name were hilarious.
The first couple of times.
But by the end of James’ fifth year, the Marauder was ready to rip his hair out.
Sirius was making puns at least once a day.
James’ eye had begun to rhythmically twitch.
He had to put his foot down.
One day, he corners Sirius and makes it very clear:
No. More. Puns.
Sirius is horrified.
Ever the drama queen, he insists that James is asking too much of him.
James rolled his eyes and says, “I really doubt that this is going to kill you.”
Three days later, Regulus catches James in the corridor.
“Potter,” Regulus frantically says, “My brother’s in the hospital wing!”
James groans and mutters, “Are you serious?”
“No,” Regulus replies, “I’m Regulus.”
James is halfway down the corridor when he screeches to a stop.
He turns and sees that Regulus is giving him this expression:
