Okay, can we please shut the fuck up about this? When Jo was being asked about whether there were Jews at Hogwarts or not, all she did was answer a freaking question. She also specifically clarified there were more Jewish students than just Anthony Goldstein, she just knew most about him.

When Jo was asked about Dumbledore’s love life, all she did was answer a question. What about being glad that we have an actual gay character so far away from gay stereotypes? BUT WHY SHOULD WE TALK ABOUT DUMBLEDORE’S LOVE LIFE/SEXUALITY IN THE BOOKS? IT WAS NOT IMPORTANT, NOT CRUCIAL TO THE PLOT, THAT’S WHY.

I KNOW REPRESENTATION IS IMPORTANT. OF COURSE IT IS. But the books are written from HARRY’S perspective and there could’ve been tons of LGBT characters WITHOUT HIM NOTICING because guess what? THE BOOKS ARE ABOUT FREAKING HARRY. SO LET’S ALL SHIT OF JO FOR HAVING HIM MARRY A GIRL.

Also, what about the whole „three background black kids“ bullshit? You can only say that about the films, in which, yes, all three main characters where white. In the books, that is never mentioned. Ron, being ginger-haired and freckled, probably was white (educate me if I’m wrong), but Harry and Hermione could’ve EASILY been black, asian, mixed-raced, or in any other way non-white. The same thing applies for most students, because the physical description we’ve been given is not fucking enough to tell. Also, canonically, we have indian twins, black Dean Thomas, Blaise Zabini, Kingsley Shacklebolt, Angelina Johnson, asian Cho Chang, and a shit ton of other poc!characters or characters of unknown heritage/colour. (REMEMBER: UNSPECIFIED RACE =/= WHITE)
