talk about life changing.
at first I was like “Wtf why is this so cool” and then I read about how they’re supposed to be buyable from a convenience store so you can select how much time you need to get to your charger and I was like “damn this will save lives”
on showing pictures of a black professor and a white serial killer Timothy McVeigh to the kids
“They’re too young to understand!”
This is the fault of their parents and any other sick fucks around them. The sad thing is that the “nice man” would kill them in a heartbeat.
This is about more than parenting and “sick fucks.” This is about an environment that constantly reinforces anti-blackness. Every time you turn on the news, a black person is committing a crime. Black guys are the bad guys in movies and on tv. It’s nearly impossible to find positive representation of black people in children’s books and shows unless you’re actively looking for them, which white parents obviously don’t. Our entire society has been conditioning these children to believe that black is bad and white is good. You can even see the black kid internalizing this message, in real time. Racism is an insidious disease that plagues us all.
I don’t get people’s hate and malicious intent. Why does does other people’s sorrow make them so upset? How do you possibly get joy out of inflicting pain on us when we’re already down. I hope all the people making a mockery of our suffering burn in hell. Heartless and soulless people they are.
Pole dancing is literally the only field of art I've seem where amateurs ("pole gymnasts") see themselves as above the pros (strippers). I've never seen a street baller who thought he was better than those guys in the NBA. I literally cannot comprehend. "Strut around half naked on a pole". Haha. As if.
Mike Brown should be on break from college right now. Tamir Rice should be in his bed, excited to see what Santa will bring him. Eric Garner should be wrapping gifts for his children. Antonio Martin should be saying good night and merry Christmas to his mother. All of this was stolen from them, and even in this season of giving, it’s hard to forgive those who took that from them.
