A traditional Indian wedding with no Indian people #stopwhitepeople2k15
white folk really are the devil
This is 100% the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen
New flash you racist fucks: You don’t have to be Indian to practice Hinduism. Being Hindu isn’t only for the people who are from India or someone with brown skin. They can do, wear or practice anything they fucking want. The two men in the picture are probably Hindu and so they wanted to have a Hindu wedding, that means everyone who attends the wedding needs to be dressed appropriately…. Hindu or not.
also…. you can be white and live in India…
Honestly people should just stop talking about my culture or my religion if they’re just going to be an ignorant racist bitch about it. As a Indian Hindu myself, I would like to say that if white people want to respectfully conduct a traditional Hindu Indian wedding, I have no problem. Being Hindu isn’t just a religious choice for ‘brown people’, its a lifestyle, and if these men decided they wanted to lead this lifestyle we don’t discriminate against them no matter the colour of their skin. Even if they aren’t Hindu, they might genuinely care for our culture, and as long as they are considerate, who really cares! I appreciate the effort everyone in this photo seems to have made to conduct this wedding traditionally (the clothes are on point) and that’s all that matters.
A while ago I was asked about the construction of the Vietnamese Ao Dai and Chinese Cheongsam/Qipao. I had a few dresses at my disposal and figured it would be fun to do a compare and contrast. Due to the small collection, I was only able to photograph a few samples (all tailored circa 2000s, except one I’m sure…). This basically just covers the “classic” tailoring styles of Ao Dai and Cheongsam/Qipao. The latest trends may not adhere to it!
NOTE: For simplicity’s sake, I primarily used the word Cheongsam (Cantonese) instead of Qípáo (Mandarin) because its wider use as an English loanword.
you wouldnt believe how upset i got when i went to go look at rose references and i saw not one but a SHITLOAD of skinny roses
thanks to steven universe we finally have fat characters that arent jokes and yall are making them skinny.. why dont you love yourself
although for the record the rose quartz you got on the left there is, like…gem-pregnant. I mean dgmw, she’s definitely a giant beautiful plus-size lady, but if you look at her portrait above the gems’ door, her shape is a little different.
If you’re going to use that as a point of comparison, consider this, the scene where Pearl is projecting her memory of Rose, it is the same body type.
if you’re saying she also looks “pregnant” in that scene, nnnno she doesn’t.
There is no form of hating fat people - including concern trolling or hating fat acceptance - that doesn’t amount to you saying, “Uh, excuse me, what made you think you could go around having a body without justifying it to me?”
When you talk about “fat” diseases - you’re saying: “uh, that body better be perfectly healthy in all instances forever before I give you my approval.”
When you talk about “it’s just not attractive” - you’re saying: “I think I made it clear that if your body isn’t pleasing to me, I’m not signing off on it.”
When you talk about “just eat less and exercise more” - you’re saying: “who gave you permission to live your life as you see fit instead of how I see fit?”
So let me just be clear: all anti-fat arguments are always and completely invalid because fat people will never owe you an explanation or justification for their bodies, their health, or their lives.
Fat acceptance is simply the assertion of a right fat people have always had, and one it’s long past time others started accepting.
