And this isn’t just a one time thing, not just a plot device for that episode in particular. When Steven hits Garnet in Mirror Gem, Amethyst lets out the most horrified gasp.
And when Garnet runs after Steven, what does Pearl say?
She isn’t upset with Steven for hitting her, she is afraid for him. Garnet adores Steven, and believes in him more than anyone, so why would she hurt him? That certainly seems to be what Pearl is thinking will happen.
And lastly, I want to bring up Garnet and Amethyst’s fusion.
This beast. We know for certain that Amethyst is not this volatile, she’s just more reckless and brash. So what if Sugilite’s violent nature comes mostly from Garnet? And it’s just uninhibited due to Amethysts’s personality?
I really want to know what in the past has caused Pearl and Amethyst to have this strange underlying fear of Garnet becoming angry.

I bolded the above. I wanted there to be no one to think that she was being irresponsible for not haven taken her meds regularly. She did it for good reason, for the health of her own baby. And she got punished for it.

So she did what was best for her kid, has ONE SINGLE PANIC ATTACK WHICH IS A THING THAT CAN HAPPEN TO ANYONE WHETHER THEY HAVE A MENTAL ILLNESS OR NOT and decide that they can literally violate her body in a horrific manner and take her kid away. But she’s the dangerous one.
Terribly sad. I hope this gets worked out in her benefit.
I can’t even imagine how terrifyingly awful that situation had to have been. Forcing a woman, against her will, to undergo sedation and then waking up in pain, without the fetus you’ve been carrying for 9 months? That’s beyond the pale. How much do the rights of an unborn fetus circumvent the rights of a full-grown adult? How much do we have to other the mentally ill, treating them (us) as less than human? She was literally treated like a breeding animal, with no cause of concern for her safety, mental health or well-being. Fuck. Fuck.
The British government won’t even hand the baby over to the Italian government. They’re keeping it in a British foster home. THIS WOMAN’S BABY MIGHT NOT EVEN GROW UP SPEAKING HER LANGUAGE IF SHE DOESN’T GET IT BACK.

Panic attacks are possible in all pregnant women, not only those with mental illness. Pregnancy hormones alone can alter a woman’s mental status. This is a criminal act. It’s horrific and inexcusable.
so i’m pretty sure that some of you guys heard about this app called “mydol” where you get to interact with your idols and whatnot….. please uninstall that app. that app is creepy and makes you feel unsafe. for example, i was talking to “d.o” and that day i didn’t eat lunch and he told me saying “you shouldn’t skip your lunch, eat each every one of your meals.” i don’t recall myself telling him that i skipped lunch…. and “baekhyun” told me that he was in front of my house…. i honestly felt really creeped out… additionally, some of the “members” knew how i looked like…. and the links here below are some other reasons as of why you should uninstall it.

I think what you mean is that there has been a growth in dogmatism.
Dogma is not a purely right-wing phenomenon and usually stems from competitive bandwaggoning, when people want to show they are so on board that they are willing to lash out at perceived enemies to prove their devotion. Often the most dogmatic are compensating for a lack of understanding and so tend to spread a confused version of their chosen message with extreme zealousy and force.
It takes a lot for someone to impress me with vernacular alone, but this response is also fucking incredible.
