shout out to anyone out there with comprehension issues. the ones who need things broken down in a clear, concise manner, who need things repeated, explained over and over again.

shout out to the ones who find themselves in constant frustration because they just dont understand, and in turn, others dont understand them.

the ones who find reading multiple paragraphs exhausting, overstimulating. shout out to the ones that have to read things several times to understand something.

shout out to the people who fear others will think them ignorant.

you’re not ignorant. you matter, and you are loved. so much.

ISIS Tricks Starving Woman Into Eating Her Son, Then Tells Her

A British man who went to fight with the Kurds against Islamic State has claimed the terror group fed a desperate mother a meal of meat and rice before revealing she had eaten her own son. Yasir Abdulla, 36, from Yorkshire said that the woman had appealed to IS to release her son when they tricked her.

Adbulla told The Sun the woman was offered a seat at IS headquarters, then given a drink along with cooked meat and rice. At first she thought they were being generous, but when she finished the meal they revealed the cooked meat was the flesh of her son, whom they had murdered earlier.

Mr Adbulla said: “I hate IS because of what happened to an old Kurdish woman from a nearby tribe. Her son was captured by IS fighters and taken as a prisoner to Mosul.

“She was determined to find her son and went to IS headquarters and asked to see him. The IS men told her to sit down because she had travelled a long way and said she should have some food before they took her to meet her son.

“They brought her cups of tea and fed her a meal of cooked meat, rice and soup. She thought they were kind.

“But they had killed him and chopped him up and after she finished the meal and asked to see her son they laughed and said, ‘You’ve just eaten him’.”

“don’t you get your languages mixed up?”

yeah all the time in fact in my latest Japanese essay I got 0% because I wrote the entire thing in Spanish and my parents are getting increasingly frustrated because I keep talking to them in German rather than British Sign Language

my friend is fluent in english, french, italian, portugese, german, dutch, russian and is learning spanish and latvian, and the other day he went into starbucks in england, ordered a latte in german, corrected himself in dutch and the poor barista looked at him in terror

I wrote the entire WRITTEN EXPRESSION part of my Spanish test in French, read over the whole exam like 3 times and didn’t notice

my friend has like 7 or 8 siblings and they’re all fluent in about 6 or 7 languages, and they’ll all be spitting out sentences and remarks and requests in different languages and their parents get so confused. One of them handed in an AP test that started in german and ended in italian

And then there’s Americans who are barely fluent in English

people with schizophrenia and why we’re angry

itfalex:

Hi, I’m Emmett and I’ve had schizophrenia since I was a toddler with early onset schizophrenia. I’m here to tell you why we’re angry and scared. Here are some reasons:

stigma

  •    Most people with schizophrenia are demonized and treated like we’re going to kill you
  • We’re told that we should be locked up and won’t be able to function in society
  • In the media we’re portrayed as sadistic and evil
  • A large number of people believe that schizophrenia is a character flaw
  • People believe that schizophrenia develops quickly and suddenly

being treated like we’re a problem for other people

  • Most articles about loved ones with schizophrenia are titled things like “how to deal with someone with schizophrenia” and it doesn’t feel to great to know that people are “dealing with you”

being in more danger than you think that we put you in

  • Multiple people have had the police called to help them with meds and gotten shot
  • If I tell someone I have schizophrenia they tell me that they didn’t suspect it because I haven’t tried to hurt them
  • We’re more likely to kill ourselves than we are to kill you

“fangirls”

  • There are tons of fanfictions romanticizing schizophrenia and in some cases what they’re calling schizophrenia is actually other disorders or made up disorders
  • There are so many youtube videos that are titled things like “schizo!{insert anime boy} MEP”
  • There’s just a lot of really gross sexualized schizophrenia in fanfictions and anime stuff in general
  • image

getting confused with other mental illnesses

  • 85 percent of the population recognize schizophrenia as a mental illness but only 25 percent of the population are familiar with what it actually is and how it affects people’s lives
  • 64 percent of people think that schizophrenia includes split personalities

having fucking schizophrenia

  • paranoia
  • hallucinations
  • delusions
  • depression
  • confusion
  • not being able to remember things or form sentences

Thanks for your time, if this didn’t clear up why we’re mad I don’t know what to tell you.

Misogyny. Meanwhile, where’s OUR app to tell us how many women they’ve slept with, how many kids they got and don’t take care of, or how many women they’ve left sexually frustrated?

Please and thank you

Or how many women they’ve assaulted, slandered, lead on for sex.

men LOVE to talk shit about women who are sexually active, while feeling like GODS for sleeping with as many women as possible

if you think a woman is spoiled after being touched, maybe you should take a look at your own damn hands

Maybe if they had an app like this, they’d be able to actually find the damn clit

image

Once again I apologise for my gender, the amount of sexual partners you’ve had doesn’t mean a thing. For those who think it does, I and the rest of the world are waiting for you to evolve from boys to men

I’m so glad ‘I apologise for my gender’ is a thing my male friends have started doing.

do you ever think of a pairing and you’re like “haha how would that even work” so you try and figure out how it would work and the more you think about it the more it makes sense and the more you like the dynamic? and then you’re stuck shipping this random ass ship and you have nothing to say for yourself except like, “oops”?
