Why Movies About College are Actually Full of Shit.
This is very important because my brother and I grew up thinking college was like this. Like we would live out a beer commercial.
And when I got to college and it DIDN’T happen, it stressed me out. I thought I was doing something wrong again. I had, apparently, messed up high school according to the media, and now college?! The supposed best time of my life?! It created a big depression, and living far from home made it worse as I had no friends or family I could immediately talk to. It took a long time for me to understand that movies and commercials and shows that portray college like that is complete and utter bullshit.
As an introverted nerd who is not a party animal, I was relieved to find that high school and college were NOTHING like they’re portrayed in media.
Someone talk to me about Tony and Natasha being friends, because my dash is full of negativity where Natasha only tolerates Tony or outright hates him, and I think we should talk more about Tony and Natasha where:
- Tony’s idea of “revenge” for Nat stabbing him in IM2 is sending twelve dozen donuts to her office at SHIELD (this spawns an epic prank war between the two)
- Tony never takes Natalie Rushman’s employee info out of SI’s databases, and if she ever needs it, she’s got a rock-solid alias waiting for her (all of Natalie’s paychecks go straight into a secure account, she’s got stock options, and she’s built up a good couple months of vacation time).
- Nat gives Tony a private number to reach her “in case of emergencies”. She’s not at all surprised when she gets a call a week later because Tony wants to surprise Pepper with a romantic, homemade dinner and just set the kitchen on fire
- they have movie marathons where they watch WarGames and Swordfish and mock Hollywood’s idea of computer hacking

July 2nd. Election Time mates. And a fucking double dissolution at that. Meaning we’re not just re-electing half of these politician types in the Senate and House of Reps, we’re re-electing ALL of them, making this hella important Make sure you check off this list heading into this election:
- If you’ve just turned 18 or you’ve moved address, you have until 8pm May 23rd to enroll/update your electoral roll. Go here to do so.
- If you’re going to be overseas/away from your voting electorate on July 2nd, go here to organise an early/mail vote.
- Know who and what you’re voting for. If you don’t know which parties/candidates stand with you, take this political compass to compare your stances to those of the major parties.
Other things to know:
- Don’t cast a donkey vote! A double dissolution means YOU get to directly pick the individuals you want to vote for, you don’t have to assign your votes to a party to disperse how they like. This is important! We won’t get a chance to completely shake up both Houses like this is for a while.
- Remember to obtain your Democracy Sausage one the way out of voting, as a BBQ should be somewhere near the voting facility. If one is not present, complain to the local authorities that your constitutional right to a Democracy Sausage is being infringed.

The Process:
When emailing, tell me what type of commission you would like (eg. two character busts coloured and shaded, one full body character lined) and include as much detail as you can about what you would like the end result to look like, including character references.
I will email back giving you the price. Prices for backgrounds and comics will differ depending on the complexity and style. I will include instructions to using PayPal, which is how you’ll be paying me.
Once the money has been transacted, then the Deal is Sealed.
As I work on your commission, I will send you WIP images when I finish the sketch, lineart, colour and shading stages, depending on what you asked for. This will be your chance to request any changes you would like done to that stage.

to be clear i dont even care that much about davekat that was just the first same-ip comparison i could think of
i didnt say i dont think davekat is happening because from my basic reading skills and inference making i deduced it.
but when people say its canon it makes me think shit, i missed a new addition to the comic where someones like ‘yep. absolutely true. without a doubt. theyre dating, confirmed.’ (aka, become officially canon)
