Listen. I love my followers and my mutuals dearly. You know how occasionally I post something like ‘every Jew on this site has a list in their head of who reblogs what and who ignores posts about Jews’? I’m talking about this shit. I have been seeing things on my dash about the situation of Jews in France for over a year, but it’s coming from other Jews 99% of the time. Please stop ignoring this. This is literally history repeating itself and we can’t be the only ones calling it out again.
This is the first I’ve heard of this, and I’m flabbergasted! If you go and read the article it’s even worse; “anti-Jewish violence is seven times higher than in the 1990s, and 40% of racist violence is against Jews, despite them making up just 1% of the population.” I mean, holy crap! I know Tumblr is very US-centric but this definitely needs to be heard about!!
Me and my fiancée have been together two years, and living together for a year and nine months, and we are getting married in less than a year. Today, we found out one of her family members had thought this whole time that we were just close friends- that I had moved 300 miles to find a job up here so we could share a house, and she was ‘happy we had maintained a friendship this long’. We even sent her a wedding invite, and she thought it was a friendship wedding.

I really used to love and idolize Johnny Depp. I thought he was a brilliant and talented actor; hell, just the other day, I said he was one of my favorite actors. And I believed that he was a genuinely good person because he had always seemed so friendly.
To find out that not only is he a filthy abuser, but to also find out that abuse seemed to stem out from biphobia, is both heartbreaking and frustrating as hell. This is a man I looked up to and it’s a pretty huge slap in the face to find out the guy I looked up to is an abusive biphobe. It’s almost like being betrayed in a way, I guess.
And I’m angry as hell because I know exactly how this is going to go down.
People are going to blame his wife. Call her a slut and a golddigger and that she was “whoring around” with her lesbian friends, thus reinforcing that gross as fuck myth that all bisexuals are “sluts” who fuck everyone in order to get something out of people. People will say that they feel sorry for Johnny Depp and call Amber Heard a liar and an attention seeker.
This will probably not affect Johnny Depp in the slightest and I think he knows it too. Because he’s Johnny Fucking Depp, a talented cis white actor, he will continued to be cast in films. He will continue to work and support and love from his fans/followers, who will band together to no doubt label Amber Heard as that no-good bi slut who deserved to get beat.
I’m angry. I’m really fucking angry. And I will stand by Amber Heard throughout this entire time. She is a victim and she deserves to be heard and supported.
