#idk much about politics in my own country let alone america#but in australia if the third party votes arent enough those votes then get transferred to whichever party has preference deals w them#and if that isnt enough then all of those votes carry on#etc etc etc#so all those third party votes america had? would have gone to democrat or republican#depending on what had been set up between the major parties and the smaller ones#so there are no ~wasted votes~
