It’s literally about how men feel no respect for the women they fuck and this website is going to act like she just hates easy women? How do you get that?

She’s saying she personally decided to not have sex with anyone in the industry. She’s not saying “Women who sleep around in the industry are stupid”. No, she’s saying “I made a choice to not have sex with anyone in the industry because in our world and time and culture that gives a man perceived power over a woman and I’d rather not deal with that shit”
I hate slut shaming as much as the next girl. And this literally has NOTHING to do with slut shaming. She has as much right to not sleep around as another artist has to sleep around if she so wishes. jfc.

You don’t have to like it (I know I don’t) but you know she’s right. We all know she’s right. She isn’t stupid. She’s well aware that men in the industry can and WILL use sex against her to devalue her, but she can’t do the same, and she’s proud of having avoided any of that. People should be able to do whatever the hell they want sexually, but society isn’t at stage yet, and there’s gonna be backlash. She recognized the risks that sleeping with men in the industry posed, not just as a woman, but as a woman in a field dominated by men.

She wasn’t associating dignity with chastity. She was stating the decision that she made, and in my opinion, it was a wise one.  She didn’t bash women who had slept with people in the industry; she’s pointing out that they can’t be trusted, and that THEY like to equate chastity with dignity, and that they will use sex against women and keep them from getting ahead.  She isn’t putting down women here… she’s calling men in the industry on their bullshit.  She’s not proud of being chaste or whatever; she’s proud because no man in the industry can ever hold sex against her.
