The stupid thing about hating people who support things and ‘don’t know what it’s like’ is that you are missing the point of your whole protest. Aren’t you protesting to get more awareness amongst people who didn’t suffer through it? You don’t need to get a person who has been discriminated on your team, because fat chance is that they are already on your side. It’s the ‘white people’ that do not get discriminated that you want to notice your cause and support it. Why else are you protesting?

I hit reblog on this so fast, my laptop caught fire and is still smouldering. I am 100% pro-ally as a fat person AND a queer person.

May i also add that there “allies” may have there own personal experience with  all the subjects mentioned above. The woman holding the sign “all bodies are beautiful” for example could have someone she knows be of a bigger size as a close friend and is sick of seeing the way that they get hurt by comments and slurs on the street. She could be campaigning for that friend because she has seen the devastation of classifying some body’s as beautiful and some as not, just as much as her friend has. she’s been there to wipe away the tears after that friend had gotten hurt. She does no want that for anyone else.

They guy holding the “racial equality” sign could of earned just as many glares out in public with his partner of another race as his partner them selves. At times he might of had to deal with his own brother coming home in tears after he had been stopped by the cops the 3ed time this months just because he has one parents skin tone more then the guy has inherited his.

The Cis guy could be best friends since the first ever day of school, with a boy who when then grew up discovered that he liked and eventually fell in loved with another guy. He could of been the one by his best friends side as cried over how much he would want nothing more in the world to know that his partner would be financially safe if anything ever happened to him through spouse rights.

The girl in the “Ally” top may not be close to any one gay her self but has observed the world and educated herself and sees things just are not equal to other people as they are for her and knows it’s wrong. She will offer her support and actions in any which way possible to getting things to be equal.

Everyone has there own reasons for supporting what they do and no one should judge at first glance.

I actually found this pretty depressing because when Happy asks her if she’s boxed before, she looks so proud of herself when she says she has, and then he just kind of demeans her response by suggesting that she wasn’t a real boxer, and you see her face just drop.
