as a white person i apologize
As a black person, I say that you don’t need to apologize.
You should not be held accountable for what your ancestors did. They did bad things to people, but you didn’t. You also shouldn’t feel as though you aren’t allowed to have problems. Just because society leans toward favouring white people, doesn’t mean your life is perfect and stress free.
You don’t need to feel bad for being born the race you are. No one should.

Disclaimer (because I feel as if I need one, since having opinions seems to be a dangerous thing on Tumblr):
Alrightyyy, I feel like I’m allowed to make one of these now. I waited patiently for a week to make a review because I knew a lot of people were going to make their own. I’m also posting my review on this blog rather than my main because…well, it’s a Frozen blog.
Cutting to the chase though. I’ve been contributing to the fandom for a little over 6 months now, and have known about the movie for roughly a smidgen under a year.
I love it. I enjoyed my friends and I all slowly falling for it as each new spoiler was revealed, I love the enthusiasm others share for the movie whether they’re new to the fandom or if they’ve been in here since that dinky screencap of Anna in a blizzard hit the web. I was excited to be excited with others while we patiently waited for the movies release - the last several weeks especially since it felt sort of surreal that the movie was finally hitting American theaters.
But just because I love the movie doesn’t mean I’m not going to critique it. Nothing is perfect, and finding out story flaws and addressing them can have an impact on writers in the future. Besides, blindly idolizing something and ignoring its faults is unhealthy no matter what it is. I’m going to try to make this review as non-bias as possible for those who are still trying to debate whether or not they want to see Frozen. Basic review will be readable, important parts will be bolded if you wanna skip my rambling. There wont be any spoilers posted. I might post a review with spoilers later but god damn son this is turning out a lot longer than I expected I don’t know if I wanna OTL
I have a quick little experiment. If you believe that trans* women and cis women are both women (you can have any genitals and still be a woman), then please reblog!
If you disagree, please reblog this one here.

It’s also not bad to be heterosexual, male, white, abled, or born to affluence or influence. You have no control over the circumstance of your birth. It’s what you do with what you have that matters.
YES EXACTLY
THANK YOU FRIEND I LIKE YOUR WORDS
The awkward “I don’t want to annoy you but I really like talking to you” stage.
HARRY POTTER FANS WATCH THIS

Oh my gosh this is legit one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in my life! This is SO COOL, seriously just click on it, oh my gosh.
This is how I imagined wizard duels I actually like this better than the duels in the movie because there are spells that actually do things other than make stuff explode. If I didn’t know better I would have thought that this was professionally made, WOW. <3

Cyber-psychologist Berni Goode talking about Flow on Charlie Brooker’s How Videogames Changed the World.
Flow is extremely important. So, so important.
It’s what keeps some people sane. It’s what drives the world’s most skilled and accomplished athletes, the most intense gamers, the hardcore hobbyists, even many of the most talented artists, musicians and actors - flow is what you get when unstoppable drive meets an unflinching will and unlimited dedication.
Flow is being utterly, truly “in the zone”. And it’s one of the most amazing feelings there is.
This is why finding a sport, or a hobby, or a martial art, or a handicraft, or a new video game, or any skill-based activity that uses focus and requires practice and repetition is so beneficial for things like depression and anxiety and overall mental/physical well-being.
