Lucid dreaming is different to vivid dreaming, my friend. Reaching lucidity means that you’ve recognized you’re in a dream, and you can stabilize yourself and take control of the world. Vivid dreaming means that everything seems so much more real, even when the paranormal and supernatural begin to unfold around you. It means you’re much more aware, and that you’re more prone to actually feeling what happens in the dreams.
I’ve always been able to dream vividly. Lucidity, on the other hand, is something hard for me to achieve. And when I do achieve it and recognize myself in the dream, I can’t take control of my environment. It’s awful.
Being afflicted by chronic nightmares at the same time as having vivid dreams leads to a very horrible conclusion. Believe you me. <:(

though by ‘lucid’ i think i used the wrong expression. i meant….the transition? sleep paralysis? when people are unable to move but can see/feel sometimes terrifying things. happened to a friend of mine, before he figured out lucid dreaming.
my dreams tend to be very…emotionally distant. if i think about it, i have nothing but what people would call nightmares, but despite pain, or horror, im so apathetic that im almost…fine to be murdered, or attacked, or whatever.
its only when i wake up that im actually scared or upset. luckily i dont dream all that often, and re-occuring dreams is a thing. scary dreams arent as scary if you know what’s going to happen, i guess. <:)
though that really sucks for you, damn. wish 'Dreamless Sleep’ potions were a thing, for you. theres no way to stop them, im guessing?

The diet you are feeding your dog places a huge burden entirely on the pancreas, forcing it to produce large amounts of amylase to deal with the starch, cellulose, and carbohydrates in plant matter. (yes, even with your supplements) The carnivore’s pancreas does not secrete cellulase to split the cellulose into glucose molecules, nor have dogs become efficient at digesting and assimilating and utilizing plant material as a source of high quality protein.
When this stuff sits in the pet’s intestine (yes even with your supplemented enzymes) it not only irritates the lining of the bowels but also provides the perfect warm, wet environment with plenty of undigested sugars and starches as food for bacteria.
I respect your choice in leading a vegan lifestyle, but please do not force this on your pet who does not recognize the difference, your dog absolutely needs a healthier diet or it is going to develop health issues and I guarantee you, will not live as long as it could otherwise.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. This sort of thing should be illegal and people feeding dogs and cats vegan diets should be charged with animal cruelty (excluding for rare medical reasons.)

I agree, this is animal cruelty through and through. This poor dog is likely going to either die from malnourishment, or from the diseases his body will be too weak to fight off. Just because YOU, a human whose digestive track is equipped for both meat and plant matter, chose to be vegan, doesn’t mean you can force it on a naturally carnivorous animal. You want a vegan pet? Get a hamster or a rabbit.
amen to this, that is exactly what ive been trying to say. it’s even worse with cats, who are more carnivorous than dogs. (wolfs and coyotes can eat non-meat material, but only when necessary and as a supplement, not a diet). i dont care how you argue that being vegan is good for you, you are NOT your dog! it is naive to assume that because dogs are “mans best friend” they can be treated as if they were people. they deserve your love and respect, but they are animals with different needs.

Above we have a quintessential example of early 21st Century prose by an aggrieved man. The author of this piece is unknown, but we can surmise by his inability to properly say “shit” to a woman and his assurance that he likes “admirable” female characters that he is most likely a “Nice Guy.”
The anonymous author employs deliberate obtuseness in order to provoke a reaction from his audience. Notice how he pretends no British individual supports the idea of a woman portraying the Doctor, despite clear evidence to the contrary, even amongst actors who have portrayed the titular character on the show. Then there is the stunning self-centeredness regarding his perception of third wave feminism; he is only interested in equality it grants him the “right” to hit the women whose arguments make him so incoherently angry that he is unable to rationally reply.
His final challenge attempts to trap the reader. Do we respond and grant him the audience and validation he so desperately seeks, or do we ignore him and let him believe he has won? But perhaps we have a third option: to turn the focus back on him and examine how his comments display his deep insecurity in his own sense of masculinity, something he feels can only be reclaimed by challenging a girl on the internet to a fight and preemptively declaring victory because he fears he cannot engage with her on an intellectual level.
