Okay, so imagine, with Keith and Lance having become better friends as time has gone on, that they’re more comfortable sharing things with each other.
So Lance is talking about how amazing Allura is to Keith, and mentions off-handedly something like “Man, I just hope she and I can have a relationship as good as you and Shiro’s.”
Keith: “Wait, what?”
Lance: “Well, I mean, you two are kind of relationship goals, you know?”
Keith: “Shiro and I aren’t together.”
At this point, Lance is devastated, like “What, you broke up?! What happened?!”
And Keith has to calm him down like “What are you talking about? We’ve never been together.”
A conversation later has Lance confirming that Keith is, in fact, in love with Shiro, but doesn’t think the other feels the same. Which Lance rightfully calls out as bs because jfc have you not seen the way that man looks at you, Keith?
At some point, Hunk wanders by, and Lance, ever the gossip, is like “Hunk, did you know that Shiro and Keith AREN’T together?”
Hunk: “What, they broke up?! What happened?!”
And this is pretty much how Keith finds out that literally everyone on the castle think that he and Shiro are already dating.
(Cue the rest of the paladins attempting to help things along)
Justin: This is my character Taako and he’s a fucking idiot
Griffin: Hmmmm no, actually, he’s an incredibly competent wizard who was top in his class at magic NASA, so jot that down
Justin: K, so in his backstory Taako accidentally killed 40 people through his carelessness-
Griffin: well, ACTUALLY, it turns out Taako was innocent all along! it was really his assistant who killed all those people because he was jealous of Taako, so, like, jot that down
Justin: Okay, well before that Taako spent his childhood alone on the road, and he’s kinda paranoid cause he’s never had anyone to watch his back-
Griffin: BUT ACTUALLYHE HAD A SIBLING THAT LOVES HIM MORE THAN ANYTHING AND HAS BEEN WATCHING OVER HIM THE WHOLE ADVENTURE AND DESPERATELY TRYING TO REACH OUT TO HIM SO J O T T H A T D O W N
man like logically, ethically etc given the results of the vote there was such a slim chance of it not being passed, b/c the consequences & protests. etc i’d imagine resulting would have been INSANE but it’s just. so surreal. like i’ve been resigned for so long that it wouldn’t happen for years and years and then this all just happened…………… so fast………… it’s so much to take in but it’s just so GOOD
you get so used to how it is and dont have enough faith in your country to change and then it does
