why does it matter if someone’s room isn’t clean
like it’s their own personal living space
if they want it messy and they’re comfortable with that then let them keep it like that it’s not your room and there’s this thing called a door that prevents you from having to see it so unless you’re going to go out of your way to spend your own time living in there calm down martha stuart
dear mom
I only wanted to share the photo on the left, because I thought that my stomach was all gross and unflattering in the photo on the right.
And then I thought, “Wait a minute. I’m holding my entire bodyweight upside down with nothing but my hands. I’m strong and healthy as fuck. This is just my body. I should be proud.”
So I had to post the flabby stomach one too.
What can I say? I don’t have a six pack, but that doesn’t mean I’m not a badass.
My whole family assumes I’m straight and it’s like if I say anything like “wow that girl is so pretty” they’re like “you’re pretty too don’t compare yourself’ like no mom the only thing I’m comparing is the width between her legs and how well I could fit.
the classic
please watch this it is so important
HOLY CRAP
here’s a nice reminder for everyone:
vriska and kanaya were moirails—kanaya had flushed feelings for vriska but never actually spoke of them to vriska. then, when vriska made a move on tavros, kanaya got jealous and stopped talking to vriska, who very obviously had no idea why kanaya suddenly ceased all communication. and when vriska tries to talk to her again, kanaya’s curt and harsh and dismissive. vriska lost both her moirail and one of her friends not because of all the actual bad things she did but because she’s a teenager and she wanted to test some quadrants and kanaya got jealous. vriska probably could’ve used a moirail, moreso in the sgrub session than she did before it.
so remember a few things:
- kanaya isn’t mature and perfect and without character flaws
- vriska isn’t always a terrible bitch and her bad relationships with people aren’t always her fault
- when you want to criticize feferi for breaking up with eridan, remember that at least she told him she was breaking up with him
This is why I love Homestuck so much; none of the characters are perfect, and they don’t just grow out of their flaws, but rather they just evolve as people and sometimes even develop new flaws having managed to sort of iron out their old ones somewhat. They feel like living, growing people.
Kanaya is an absolute joy to act in the part of because she’s not a mature, together person; she’s a nervous, fussy, hot tempered person with self esteem issues trying her absolute best to be collected, mature and elegant. Her huge emotional range combined with the subtlety of how she expresses her feelings makes her a part that never stops being interesting to play.

For once, the comments didn’t make me hate the world.
We found that, upon exposure to sexist humor, men higher in sexism discriminated against women by allocating larger funding cuts to a women’s organization than they did to other organizations.
We also found that, in the presence of sexist humor, participants believed the other participants would approve of the funding cuts to women’s organizations. We believe this shows that humorous disparagement creates the perception of a shared standard of tolerance of discrimination that may guide behavior when people believe others feel the same way.
The research indicates that people should be aware of the prevalence of disparaging humor in popular culture, and that the guise of benign amusement or “it’s just a joke” gives it the potential to be a powerful and widespread force that can legitimize prejudice in our society

this is why sexist humor isn’t fucking humor. it’s deepseated misogyny.

I train with my Katana every day, this superior weapon can cut clean through steel because it is folded over a thousand times, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I earned my sword license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day.
