Escaping an Abusive Home Gofundme

Cecil and I met 5 years ago online through a mutual love of storytelling and have been best friends ever since despite the difficulty of living thousands of miles away. My friend wants to go to school to be a filmmaker, and I know without a doubt they’ll be amazing. Unfortunately right now, Cecil needs our help before they can consider school.

Cecil has been living in a heavily abusive home. Without getting into the gritty details, there have been multiple instances of physical and mental abuse and threats of worse to come. This has caused intense emotional strain and untreated PTSD and anxiety disorders. Even worse: past instances with local police have been ineffective in helping. 

I’m visiting the state during the month of December, and together, Cecil and I have planned a way for us to escape to the other side of the country, so Cecil can live with me and my family, who are happy to take Cecil in and make sure they can get a fresh start on their adulthood and future. 

The only thing that’s standing in our way is the cost of travel. The least we’d need is $500 to cover the price of either a train or plane. 

If we raise over $500 all of that money will go towards Cecil’s price of food, health coverage, and education. 

Cecil is currently in danger right now, and the faster we can raise this money, the quicker we can solidify our plans to get Cecil away.
