Lately the probability of finding a comment like this in the notes has gone up from 100% to a 10000% and it’s seriously impacting our user experience.
I have been here since 2010, @staff. Started out as wolf blog and in 2012 I used to share my poetry and made eight super good friends to which I am still talking today! But now what?
It’s pretty safe to say that there are a number of bot networks active on this website. The one asking for bitcoin and the aforementioned ‘looking for fun’ one for example. The bots follow a pattern and because it’s a network it should be easy to roll up.
I know we always point at @staff to fix this, but honestly, it’s not an easy fix. I know many people block bots, but do we also report and flag them? How does staff respond to flags?
Anyway, here is what I and 10,000 other people who started following this blog over the last 24 hours propose:
We purge the bots. The porn bots. All of them. This is going to be one big COORDINATED effort to destroy the bots!
For one month we are going to report and flag those blogs, and make sure we cut their profits so they don’t make enough money to support their bot network.
It’s very important that we do this as a community. This is a movement. Everyone has to join so we can limit the outcome of this battle to only two possibilities:

Here is how we proceed:
Our first objective is to purge the influx of ‘want to have fun?’ bots in the comments. Tumblr’s ToS allows porn blogs, so we don’t flag bot blogs for ‘sensitive content’, but rather for spam. Because that is exactly what they are doing: spamming the comments with unsafe links to shady websites.
We have two types of warriors in our army. Mobile and desktop users.
Mobile users: If you are on mobile, your options are limited. You can only report comments.

Your task is to report as many bot comments as possible and make a statement to @support and @staff.

I was fucking terrified when Croatia was burning. The fire was near a village where I like and I thought it will burn down. I thought the church will burn down. I thought the cemetery where my grandpa is buried will burn. I still remember the smell of smoke, and when I went to check how bad is fire, my clothes and hair and skin all stunk of smoke. Allow me to elaborate on how bad things are here. 7 places are burning at the same time while in Μάτι and Κίνετα the fire not only burned trees but because off the strong winds(80 kilometes per hour) it burned houses, it burned people. Firefighters and volunteers do whatever they can with the little gear they have as always because why on earth would the goverment give money to firefighting vechiles, canadairs and literally anything else that could be useful in this country when we know that every summer someone wants to burn forests so they can build whatever they want. Anyways, people started running away once some firefighters managed to warn them to evacute ( something that others should have done because these people have to keep working so they can prevent the fore from doing anymore damage ). People started running to get to the beach which was their only hope, unfortunately some people with their families were trapped once the fire circurled the area around them leaving them with the only thing to do, wait for their end. Charred bodies were found locked in embrace the next day. Now the people who reached the beach had to wait there so they could be transferred from there to the port of Ραφήνα. Here’s a photo :

Honestly, I’ve been back and forth on this Adam thing all day so here’s my final verdict:
I don’t know what the circumstances are surrounding Shiro’s illness, but I think it’s implied that his days were numbered. I’m sure Adam wanted to spend as much time as humanly possible with the love of his life. Apparently, this was something they’ve went through before. I get that. I feel that, and I really couldn’t imagine what was going through his head when the pilot error news happened.
But Shiro had a dream, a really big dream, that he’d worked so long and hard to achieve, and with limited time to achieve it. Not only that, he was actually given the opportunity, his literal once-in-a-lifetime chance, despite his illness. We all know it was getting worse; what Shiro needed was all the support he could get from his loved ones.
Adam didn’t give him that. Instead, he gave him something worse: an ultimatum. I think it’s okay he felt upset that Shiro was leaving again, and those feelings are valid as hell, but he acted selfishly. He made Shiro choose between him and his life long dream, a choice spurred by the limited time he had due to his illness. Can you imagine how that would have made Shiro feel?
Idk what else I had to say about it, other than Adam gave up on Shiro and their relationship. Kerberos was meant to be a 6 month trip. Shiro was supposed to come home, and Adam’s ass could have waited for him, but he didn’t. Just so we’re clear, I don’t hate the guy or the ship, nor is he an awful person. The guy was hurting too, but Shiro deserved better. If Adam wasn’t willing to give him that, then that was his prerogative.

Since you've actually seen the new episode, how do you feel about Adam/Shadam?
Like I said to someone on Twitter, I think you need to be aware of a few things here.
Shiro and Adam are approximately 21 when this happens. Shiro has a degenerative disease he’s trying to outrun, and as Lauren said, Shiro and Adam have been together for a while at this point as flying partners and boyfriends. Adam knows Shiro. Adam also alludes to Shiro running a race against his own degenerative disease. Shiro has maxed every record, already risked his life in space, and now, he only has a couple years left in peak physical condition. Those two years can be spent on Earth and having a life Adam can play witness to or Shiro can leave and do this final mission that may or may not kill him.
Again, they’re young adults at an age where people find themselves standing at a lot of important forks in the road. Realistically, at 21, it’s already hard on the heart to know the man you love has a disease that will entirely disable him and then maybe kill him. Adam seems willing to do this with Shiro, but he also wants Shiro to meet him halfway, and well, Shiro doesn’t have to. It’s Shiro’s life. It’s two very important years to experience his life passion, but also, Adam doesn’t have to meet Shiro halfway either. It’s Adam’s life. Asking your partner to watch you go on a perilous and time stealing mission is a lot at 21 years old.
We can’t be idealistic and impart these puritanical expectations on queer people in media anymore. Adam’s reaction is human. It’s not right or wrong. It’s just human.
I don’t think Adam is coming from an irrational place considering he knows Shiro is trying to beat a clock that will never stop ticking ahead of him. He basically asks Shiro what he wants since he’s already DONE EVERYTHING, and when Shiro couldn’t answer, I gathered that Shiro didn’t know either. He probably wants to cram his entire life into an impossible timeline, and that’s some rough stuff for young adults to negotiate. Shiro is mourning his life while trying to live it. Can you imagine?
My mom had cancer and died at 45 (believe it or not, internet, that’s tragically fucking young), and while she was declining, her decisions made me mad. They made me so mad I couldn’t see straight because I couldn’t understand why she would do things that felt like a shitty use of her time, and that’s normal. It’s something you discuss in grief therapy. You say shitty things. You’re scared. You don’t want that person to slip away faster than they are. It’s a desperate thing.
So, I don’t know. I trust Adam and Shiro had a good relationship until Shiro made the choice he had the right to make. I can tell this arc was written by people who are older and understand this shit is a nuanced thing we want to simplify but can’t.
That’s my hot take but it’s heartfelt, and until I see something that disproves my feelings in canon, then I’m not backing down from it.
